What People are Saying
TESTIMONIAL
I was so glad to have Walchitects’ guidance as we renovated our historic home. I’d tackled many a renovation project working directly with a contractor, but Michael and the team’s expertise was invaluable. With their assistance, we were able to re-envision and elevate the spaces in our home.

TESTIMONIAL
Saint Josephs has worked with Michael and now Walchitects for almost a decade and we’re happy to continue the relationship. Michael and his team are talented, reliable and listen to their clients needs. Michaels’ work is aesthetically pleasing and he designs with sensitivity to the population we serve. We’ve had people visit our buildings and say, ‘this doesn’t look like supportive housing’ and we’re glad for it!

TESTIMONIAL
AAFE’s first project with Michael involved many iterations of a mixed-use development. We were excited to see concepts for buildings that brought to life our goals for the property and neighborhood. Our affordable housing projects typically bring overlapping technical requirements for resiliency, accessibility and sustainability and the Walchitects team is always careful to synthesize them while prioritizing our needs as building owners. We appreciate that throughout the design process, the Walchitects team is approachable and presents well to AAFE and our various stakeholders – from funders to our residents. We look forward to building more with Walchitects!

PRESS
What may be most worthy of note is that this remarkable restoration / renovation took place in a part of city—McKinstry Place—that is not part of any designated historic district, although, in my opinion, it should be.
