DF Mavens

Reach out. Come in.

Come for the ice cream, stay for the juice, snacks, coffee… our client planned to pack a wide offering into a small corner storefront space. Fronting a busy East Village corner, we programmed the street-edge of the store with seating, merchandising, windows and doors; an indoor-outdoor wood awning hovers overhead. Warm or cold, the storefront is always activated and invites people inside. In practical terms, the angled layout of the display cases got us some extra counter space and brought the gelato so close to the sidewalk you could almost touch it – tempting, right

The Good Stuff

DF Mavens is a new venture from an obsessive dessert-man who wears an ice-cream cone ring – you know this is going to be good. The store caters to both a health-conscious customer and someone who wants a traditional dessert but may have dietary restrictions that limit their options. Inside DF Mavens, you’re surrounded with natural stone and wood, cladding modern geometric forms – an aesthetic analogue of their traditional and progressive menu.
