Longley Owners’ Suite

Loud can be Lovely

The upstairs at Longley Row House was a mess of exposed piping and wiring. We restored it to quirky glamour by preserving original elements like the mantle and trim while introducing bold colors. The décor blends Victorian, Mid-Century Modern, and Contemporary styles with bright colors and floral motifs. Hale Navy walls in the living room make the furniture and art pop, while a stenciled floral accent wall in the bedroom adds antique charm behind a minimal headboard.

Transformer-Table

Old houses always seem to have that one awkward room – a living room in our owners’ suite, at only six-feet wide, had us scratching our heads. Our solution was a custom sideboard and dining table nestled around two existing cased openings to make a cozy dining space. By going custom, the millwork became dual-function. We worked closely with a local fabricator to design a dining table that folds down to become a guest bed – bonus!

This room exudes joy – the small end wall was a perfect opportunity for dazzling wallpaper and floating shelves. A fabulous thrift-store find, a neon beach scene sculpture casts a pink glow back into the living room. This room now serves as a home office, dining area for up to eight, and a guest bedroom.
