Stone, wood, brass and glass come together in a modern mix
Bringing dairy-free desserts along with all-day juice, coffee and snack options to a small corner storefront in the East Village as bound to create a packed, busy space. My solution was to crank the counter space to expand its footprint, setting in motion a play of overlapping angles throughout the space. The storefront itself is rich in its simplicity - wood with minimal hardware, it can be opened entirely in warm months but when closed, its minimal sight lines disappear, letting the serving counter become its own merchandising.
