What to do with a ‘contractor special’ ground floor in a historic town?

Aesthetically, we added moulding to the living spaces which brought texture and opportunity for rich colors. Overall the pallet is soft but with ample bright accents. In the kitchen particularly, our new interventions were graphically bold to contrast with existing elements to remain.

Functionally, we added cabinetry, engineered quartz counters, and ducted exhaust to the kitchen. In a later project we added split system air conditioning and upgraded radiators, with smart home controls for ease of management.
